2013 Cadillac ATS Rated 26 MPG Combined with Base 2.5L Engine
By Erin Riches | July 11, 2012
"The EPA has released fuel economy ratings for the 2013 Cadillac ATS. With its base, direct-injected, 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder (200 hp, 191 lb-ft of torque) and a six-speed automatic transmission, the ATS rates 22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway and 26 combined. Not yet rated are the ATS's more desirable engines -- a 270-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four (notably, the only ATS engine available with a manual gearbox) and a 321-hp version of Cadillac's 3.6-liter V6.
No doubt, you're wondering how the ATS 2.5 sedan's numbers compare with the 328i, A4 and G25..."

Spied! 2014 Cadillac CTS, With Interior Shots
Written by: Erick Ayapana [G+] on July 9 2012 1:45 PM
This CTS’ front grille, though pictured here in unfinished condition, sports a V-patterned design as opposed to the traditional grid-style layout found on most Caddys. Also visible are bright, LED daytime running lamps that appear to be part of the headlight housing. From the back, rectangular exhaust tips replace the round units found in the current model.
The photographer also snapped photos of the engine bay, revealing an engine cover with a “twin turbo” label. That could refer to a new turbocharged V-6 positioned toward the top of the 2014 CTS lineup. A retuned version of the 2.0-liter I-4 from the 2013 ATS will likely serve as a CTS base engine. As for the next-generation CTS-V, the high-performance Caddy is rumored to get a version of the C7 Corvette’s small-block V-8.
But wait, there’s more. The photo set included shots of the 2014 CTS prototype’s interior, with overall styling similar to the ATS and the upcoming XTS. Fit and finish appear to be top notch, with leather covering everything from the dashboard and steering wheel. The center stack reveals a clean look with touch-sensitive buttons and Cadillac’s new CUE infotainment system. Finally, the instrument panel appears to be completely digitized (the XTS features a configurable digital IP).

![Cadillac-ats-2013_i01](http://getfile6.posterous.com/getfile/files.posterous.com/temp-2012-07-06/jFvxxiqyibGoyJgstqnCeieIHybfDhGcdlthfdwJeAjpDhsFjilBhyfnlzas/Cadillac-ATS-2013_i01.jpg.scaled500.jpg)
"The 2013 Cadillac ATS compact luxury sedan will start at $35,195 (plus destination charges) when it arrives in showrooms this summer. In addition to the affordable price, customers will no doubt appreciate the savings that come from a highway fuel consumption rating of only 6.0L/100km.
A mid-level model, with a lightweight and powerful 2.0L turbocharged engine, will retail for $36,985.
As for the range-topping, V6-powered ATS, whose 321 horsepower allow 0-100km/h accelerations in 5.4 seconds, the MSRP is set at $43,935 and includes Cadillac's all-new infotainment system called CUE. ''The ATS enters a vehicle segment this year that’s one of the most competitive in the market, from both a price and performance standpoint,'' said Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac Marketing. ''ATS will bring a distinctive presence and compelling value while offering quick, nimble, fun-to-drive dynamics that will appeal to the lifestyles of modern luxury buyers and challenge the segment’s status quo.'' Detailed pricing and available equipment will be announced closer to the model's arrival."
